On the Menu: Mush

I am slowly discovering that there is some variety in the mush I am being fed. So far, I have developed some likes and dislikes:

The Good:

Cereal: I like all the cereal, but rice is the clear winner. That stuff is good.

Sweet Potatoes: Pretty tasty - and Mommy tells me there's a pie version. Mommy and Daddy don't understand why I like this. Apparently, to them it smells vile. Maybe sweet potatoes are to ninjas what prune juice is to klingons. (Sorry for the Star Trek reference, Uncle Konrad!)

The Bad:

Carrots: These actually are vile. I will scrape these off my plate and feed them to my pony once I finally get one. Supposedly, ponies think carrots are a treat.

Hey Lily. It's Aunti Yak. I love your blog. You are very creative and funny for a such a little ninja. Perhaps you should consider stand up comedy as a career choice. I'm not surprised though, your mommy always made me laugh with comments. Like, it's dark, I like that in a room. So you're eating real food hey. I like cereal too, recently I have discovered brown sugar mini wheats. You should really push for Cap'n Crunch or Fruit Loops. Go for the good stuff, then you can destroy all your teeth and you won't have to go through the pain. I don't like needles either. Uncle John and I have applied for life insurance because we moved into a big house and have this huge debt called a mortgage. If something happens to one of us we get money but we have to take a medical test to make sure we're not high risk to insure. Anyway the nurse came to our house and took some blood. My veins decided to hide so she put a needle in the back of my hand. I've never had a needle in the back of my hand and can I tell you, there is no pain quite like it, except maybe child birth but I wouldn't know, you'd have to check with your mommy and grandma's on that. I got queasy and almost passed out. Unfortunately the nurse couldn't extract any blood from my hand so back to the arms she went. It was not a good morning for me. Plus I hadn't eaten in 12 hours, which I'm sure you can understand is so not acceptable. Guess what else? I ordered my dress for your mommy and daddy's wedding. I think I may have found shoes too. I was thinking of high heals, but I'm not a big fan of heals. I just bought these sandals that are kind of dressy with a tiny heal, they were only supposed to be for summer but they may work for the wedding. Are you wearing shoes yet? I know you're not walking yet but you can still wear shoes. Get your mommy to get you some monkey rain boots like hers. Think of the ninja kicks you could do! Speaking of ninja, have you seen any Jackie Chan movies? Or Steven Segal, they have lots of fighting. Perhaps you could watch the Karate Kid, wax on wax off.

Well kiddo, I should go. I hope things get better for you, what with the food, the tooth, and big brother beaning you on the head. I say learn how to use the phone ASAP and call for pizza. It's better than licorice.

Later little dude!

Gotta say, if you are particularly lucky, you get the needle in the back of your hand during childbirth. Mine was a little complicated, so I got to have an IV. On the bright side, the childbirth completely takes your mind off the pain in your hand...

PS The Little Ninja was totally worth it, though!
